Labour MP for Bristol South Dawn Primarolo is the most communicative MP in the country, according to website Hearfromyourmp.com. The website encourages all MPs to communicate with their constituents, publishing emails from Parliamentarians which residents can then respond to publicly. Dawn, who has been posting her fortnightly newsletter on the site for the last year, now heads the league table for MPs posts.
Commenting, Dawn said:
“It’s so important for MPs to communicate with their constituents – they are the reason we’re here in the first place! Several hundred people were already receiving my newsletter by email, but when I heard about Hear From Your MP, I thought it was important to get involved. It’s an excellent forum, which lets residents know what I’ve been up to and gives them a chance to respond. Dawn has now posted 28 newsletters on the site, with 147
residents signed up to receive the messages.
