Dawn has been out and about in Bristol South this week, with Parliament’s summer recess enabling her to meet even more local organisations than usual. As well as holding her regular surgery, Dawn met with the Hartcliffe and Withywood Teenage Parents Project and Crossroads – an organisation providing support for carers. On Wednesday, Dawwn called into the Playday on College Green, where hundreds of children from across our city gathered to enjoy a range of activities.
Commenting, Dawn said:
“Bristol will always be my home but, of course, when Parliament is sitting I have to be in London from Monday afternoon until Thursday evening. That still gives me the opportunity to get out and about on Friday and at the weekends, but the recess means that I can meet with even more local organisations and residents. It’s fantastic to see the difference these groups are making to people in Bristol South.”
