Chancellor visits Knowle West Media Centre

Dawn joined the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Alistair Darling, on a visit to Knowle West Media Centre this morning. The Chancellor came to Knowle West for a tour of the brand new, purpose-built Centre where construction work is nearly complete.

Mr Darling spoke to staff and users of the Centre who told him about their various media projects and he also met young people who have been working closely with architects to design the new, environmentally friendly building.

Dawn was delighted to welcome the Chancellor to Bristol South today. Commenting after the visit she said:

"I was so pleased that the Chancellor was able to visit Knowle West Media Centre today. The Centre will put Knowle West on the map as a regional centre of media excellence and is a fantastic example of the really positive things which are happening in Bristol South at the moment."
