Dawn 'delighted' at UBHT star rating

Bristol South MP pays tribute to hard work of staff

The announcement that United Bristol Healthcare Trust (UBHT) has been awarded two stars by the Healthcare Commission has been greeted by local MP, Dawn Primarolo:

"I am absolutely delighted by this fantastic news. The Trust's staff has, I know, been working really hard, so congratulations are in order for each and every one of them. This is an excellent achievement".

In previous years, the Trust received no stars, which makes it one of only a few in the country to have made such significant improvement in the space of one year. Two stars mean that a trust is doing well against an objective set of national performance criteria.

The Healthcare Commission is an independent body which monitors performance standards in the NHS.
