All set for tennis in Victoria Park

This afternoon, Dawn Primarolo, Labour MP for Bristol South, presented a £50,000 cheque to Victoria Park Tennis Club to fund the much-needed resurfacing of the popular tennis courts.  The money was awarded to the Tennis Club from Sport England’s Inspired Facilities Fund which aims to celebrate this year’s Olympic Games and ensure a lasting legacy for London 2012 across the country.

Dawn said:

“It’s fantastic that Victoria Park Tennis Club can now resurface its courts using this funding.  I know how important the park and its facilities are for the local community and this investment will definitely be worthwhile, especially during such an important year for British sport.”
