Working hard all year round for South Bristol
Dawn Primarolo, Labour MP for Bristol South, attended an event in Parliament in support of the Living Wage – an hourly rate of pay, higher than the minimum wage, calculated to provide a basic but acceptable standard of living.
Speaking after the event Dawn said,
“In these difficult times I know many households in Bristol South are struggling to make ends meet, especially those on the lowest incomes. By paying the Living Wage employers can make a real difference to the quality of life of their employees and their families. The Government should be taking steps to encourage, support and incentivise employers to adopt the Living Wage.”
