Dawn hears about ASDA's green credentials

Dawn Primarolo, Labour MP for Bristol South, attended an event in Parliament to held by ASDA to inform MPs about the various actions the supermarket chain is taking to be green.  Research carried out by the company has found that its customers care about green issues but they don’t always find it easy to live a sustainable lifestyle and want help in making green choices.

Speaking after the event, Dawn said:

“With two ASDA stores in Bristol South – in Bedminster and in Whitchurch – I was interested to see what ASDA bosses had to say about the important issue of sustainability.  It was good to learn more about what the company is doing to stock sustainable products at affordable prices.  We all need to take responsibility for our impact on the environment and supermarkets are no exception.”
