Working hard all year round for South Bristol
Dawn Primarolo, Labour MP for Bristol South, yesterday met with Sue Mountstevens, Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner, to discuss policing and crime issues in Bristol South and the across the wider city area.
Speaking after the meeting, Dawn said:
“It has been very useful to meet with Sue to discuss current local issues and her future plans for policing in the Bristol area.
The relationship between our local police service and the general public has greatly improved in recent years and I’m keen that police numbers in Bristol South do not fall as a result of Government spending cuts.
I sought Sue’s views on the future of police services in my constituency and we discussed a wide range of issues including anti-social behaviour, road safety, the possibility of a late night levy in the city centre, and the potential impact of changes in the Probation Service”
