Dawn Primarolo shows her support for Cold Homes Week

Cold_Homes_Week_feb_14.jpgDawn Primarolo, Labour MP for Bristol South, joined other MPs in demonstrating her support for Cold Homes Week, a national campaign to raise awareness about the number of people living in fuel poverty and to call on the Government to do more to support households with the rising cost of fuel bills.

Dawn said:

“It is simply unacceptable that people are living in cold, uncomfortable conditions because they can’t afford to heat their homes.  More needs to be done to help make homes more energy efficient and to reduce the cost of fuel bills.  Labour has promised to freeze fuel prices if we win the next election while the energy market is restructured to make it fairer, and we will also invest in local energy efficiency schemes.”
