Elections elections elections!!!

Our Labour candidate for the General Election 2017 was Karin Smyth, who had already worked so hard for people across South Bristol since she was first elected in 2015. Karin was re-elected with a substantially increased majority and great support across the constituency showing clear rejection of the Tory (and previous LibDem/Tory coalition) Government austerity programme and support for the Labour Party and government that will work for the many not the few.

Earlier in the year Labour candidate Lesley Mansell came a close second at the first ever Metro Mayor for the area of Bristol with Bath & North East Somerset and South Gloucestershire on 4th May 2017.

Election results in 2017 show the only real opposition to the Tories locally is Labour.
