Fifty Years of the WWF

Dawn at WWF 50th celebration

Dawn has attended a Parliamentary reception to celebrate fifty years of the World Wildlife Fund.  Launched in 1961, the Fund now carries out work in nearly 100 countries, and is recognised as one of the leading environmental organisations in the world.

Commenting after the reception, Dawn said:

“I know from my post-bag and inbox that residents in Bristol South care passionately about conservation and biodiversity.  The WWF has a proud history of working to protect species, their habitats and the natural world.  As we seek international efforts to tackle climate change, their work is more important than ever.”
