Labour supports local food banks - offering a lifeline to Bristol families

On December 8th Bristol South Labour Party started our monthly food bank collection.

Together we donated more than 40 bags and 2 boxes of food to food banks in South Bristol, to make sure some of the poorest families had enough to eat over the festive period.

Our South Bristol Food Banks feed thousands of local families – and the need is growing.

One food bank in Hartcliffe told us that they gave out 1,250 meals the week that our donations came in. Another in Bedminster told us they fed 700 families – 100 more than last year – underlining just how important these services are.

This wasn’t a project just for Christmas though, Bristol South Labour Party will be donating every month we meet.

Get involved and make a donation

You can help by giving a few food and toiletry items. A little donation makes a big difference.

NB. Food items must be non perishable eg long life or with long use by dates, dried and tinned goods.
