There are lots of ways of getting out and active with your local Labour Party in February and March. All members are really welcome, and if you’re new to campaigning or to Labour we’d love to meet you.
Support campaigners fighting to save local services in Hartcliffe
Local campaigners need your support to save Symes House, a centre that provides vital services to local people - especially the poorest and most vulnerable - in Hartcliffe. Amid budget cuts there is a risk that this service will close without your support. We need as many people as possible to sign this petition by Feb 20th here.
Lend your support in Stoke on Trent to see off UKIP in Feb
23 Feb is the Stoke on Trent by-election where UKIP leader Paul Nutall is hoping to take the seat vacated by Tristram Hunt. It’s looking tight in the polls. If you want to help Labour campaigning to win this crucial election and you can travel to Stoke under your own steam there are campaigning sessions at 10am, 2pm, 4pm & 6pm every day (meet at Hillcrest House, Garth Street, Hanley, ST1 2AB) every day.

Join us canvassing for Labour’s Metro Mayor candidate in March
In March we will be ramping up campaigning in support of Labour’s Metro Mayor candidate Lesley Mansell who is committed to delivering more homes, better transport and secure jobs in Bristol and across the region. Elections are on may 4th and we will be out talking to people across Bristol South. All canvassing sessions will be posted on our events page here where you can RSVP
Join the national NHS demo on Sat 4th March
This Tory government has created a funding crisis in the NHS, and has sold off chunks to private providers. On Sat March 4th thousands of people will turn out for a demo to save the NHS in London. See here for more details on transport and travelling with other Labour members from Bristol South
And thank you for all your help campaigning!
On Sat 4th Feb we held an action day to #fighttorycuts, and speak out against cuts to Bristol council. We got out and talked to hundreds of people to tell them how Labour is fighting to protect services for the most vulnerable despite these brutal funding cuts from the Tory government. You can watch this short film to find out more.
