Green Capital Small Grants Fund

South Bristol community groups urged to bid for Green Capital funds

Dawn Primarolo has urged community groups across the Bristol South constituency to seek funding from the £250,000 Bristol Green Capital Small Grants Fund. Grants of up to £10,000 are available and will be targeted at small local voluntary and community organisations where a small amount of money can make a big difference.

“Our community is very lucky to have so many local groups which do such brilliant work. Money is available to fund a range of activities including improving the local environment, promoting healthy eating or encouraging walking and cycling.

“For the Green Capital to be a real success it is essential that all parts of our city feel involved, not just those living close to the city centre. That is why I am very pleased that the organisers are particularly looking to fund groups which have not yet been involved in the Green Capital.

“I shall be contacting local community organisations across south Bristol and urging them to get involved.”
