Working hard all year round for South Bristol
Dawn Primarolo, Labour MP for Bristol South, met with Roger Opie, Chief Executive of educational charity, Ablaze, to hear more about the organisation’s work with local schools and businesses. Ablaze builds partnerships between businesses and schools through structured volunteering opportunities in schools for people from Bristol’s business community. The programmes are designed to raise young people’s aspiration, attainment and achievement.
Speaking after the meeting Dawn said:
“I was really impressed by the work Ablaze is undertaking in Bristol South and across the city. It’s clear that both the volunteers and the school children benefit from this partnership working and I hope local schools and businesses will continue to support each other in this successful way.”
