New homes for ex-servicemen and women

On Friday, local Labour representatives Dawn Primarolo MP, and Councillors Mark Bradshaw, Colin Smith and Helen Holland attended an event to mark the completion of a self-build housing project for ex-forces personnel.  Kingdom View is a new development of 14 homes in West Street, Bedminster, built by and for ex-servicemen with the support of Knightstone Housing Association, Leadbitter and the Community Self Build Agency.

Speaking after the event, Dawn said:

“This has been a fantastic project, giving homeless veterans the chance to learn new skills and gain confidence through building their own homes.  I would like to congratulate everyone who has been involved.  Having taken part in this housing project, the ex-servicemen are now well placed to gain employment and re-engage with the community.   I am sure they will be happy in their new homes and make a great contribution to Bedminster life.”

Designed and built by Tangent Snowball. Hosted by Rackspace, 2 Longwalk Road, Stockley Park, Uxbridge, UB11 1BA.
