New services at Parson Street & Bedminster stations

Local Labour councillors Mark Bradshaw and Sam Mongon recently supported an event at Bedminster rail station to celebrate the extra morning and evening services. These stop at Parson Street and Bedminster; connecting to early London-bound trains from Temple Meads and providing a further evening service.

The event was organised by Friends of Suburban Bristol Railways  and other campaigners were present.

Mark and Sam want First Great Western to provide further services at our two local stations and for Bristol City Council to improve safety with CCTV at Bedminster station. Another key demand is improved access at Parson Street station.

Longer term the re-opening of the Portishead line remains a priority.
