Scottish Referendum

Commenting on the outcome of the Scottish independence referendum Dawn Primarolo MP said:

“I am obviously very pleased the Scottish people have decided stay in the United Kingdom, we really are better together. The massive turnout of over 85% is a sign that voters will participate when they believe it really matters.

“There must be big changes, there must be a radical new settlement for every nation and region in the UK.

“Here in the Bristol we need to see real local democratic decision making on issues such as transport, economic development and regeneration.”
