Supporting ‘Save Our Sundays’ Campaign

Dawn Primarolo, Labour MP for Bristol South, has pledged her support for Usdaw’s campaign to keep limits on Sunday opening hours to protect shopworkers and families.

Amendments tabled to the Deregulation Bill last month called for an end to current six hour limit on Sunday opening hours for large stores.

Dawn said,

“I support Usdaw’s campaign to keep Sundays special.  The current six hour limit allows large stores an opportunity to trade while also giving shopworkers a break from an otherwise 24-hour a day industry.”
